Weekend with Family

Great weekend with family.  Friday night we went to a White Sox game with 3 of my children (should have been the oldest 4, but Eddie was on punishment).  They won!  It was a fun time.  Then on Saturday, I took Danny, Jess, and Dakota to meet Auntie Julie and we took the kids to the Field Museum to see the Harry Potter Exhibit.  Unfortunately, the only time slot available for us to get in to the exhibit wasn't until 10:30 p.m. so we had to turn around and go home.  :-(  We tried, though.  To pick the kids spirit back up, we took them to Freddie's for italian ice and pizza slices.  It was still a nice evening.  


Today was especially nice.  After church, my mom, my children , and I went over to my brother's home.  My sister and her family also met us there.  Our cousin, Krissy and her husband, Mike and their children were there as well.  My sister also brought our neice, Maribeth.  LOTS of children - I have 6, Maureen has 3, Natalia has 4, and Krissy has 3.  It was a really nice time of fellowship.  My brother, David and sister-in-law, Natalia have a beautiful home on a nice piece of property and it is always such a nice time.


All of the boys at this gathering were really enjoying themselves with splitting logs, climbing trees and swinging over this little ditch on this hanging vine. It was a really good time for them, no doubt.  Even some of the girls enjoyed this type of play.  The others were content to hang out on the playground that my brother worked so hard putting together earlier this spring.  All in all, this was a really nice family weekend.
