Well, I've finally officially achieved the first official rung on the leadership ladder. I have had a team for the better part of a year, but the numbers all have to be in place before you gain the title or royalty payouts, so I am so happy to report that as of October, I am officially a Lead Consultant and today in the mail, I got my very first royalty check!! I have my team to thank. . . so thank you all ladies!! We had some super selling going on. . . .Susie, Rena, Anita, and Linda all were really rocking. Thanks to your hard work and diligence, along with my own performance, I have acheived my first goal! I'm super excited. I'm going to make 2010 the year that I make it to Director. That is my new official business goal for 2010. It is a few steps away, but completely doable.
On another note, I have found so many great resources on the internet for direct sales, for motivation, for organization, and for homeschooling, that I was thinking that I would start sharing my findings in posts on this blog. . . at least one time per week. Did you also know that there is a whole group of mothers that partake in what is called "Meal Plan Monday"? Every Monday, they post what they are going to be serving their families for dinner during the upcoming week. I think I will start to post that on Mondays as well. Then, another blog I love to read, "To Love, Honor, and Vacuum" has a feature called "Wifey Wednesdays" which isn't quite as popular (yet) as the Monday thing, but on Wednesdays, she writes a post about marriage, and I think that I'd love to start partaking in that as well.
So there you have it, I have now laid out a few of my business and blog writing intentions. I hope that this public announcement is able to help me stick to these committments. OH!. . . . Speaking of committments and accountability, I have just registered to walk the 2010 Chicago 3-Day Walk (Susan G. Komen)!! I will need to fundraise $2,300 so I'm sure that I'll have a link to my fundraising page on a good number of these posts, but man, I am so excited to get started! I walked this walk back in 2004, and I think that I was in the best shape of my life. In fact, I think that my husband and I both thought that our family was complete after we had our fourth child (as a few years had gone by). However, I was pregnant with my fifth child just a few months after completing that walk! :-) Seriously, though, I had a good experience in 2004 and have desired to repeat that event, and now I get to! I'll be posting training and fundraising notes on here as well. . .
That is all the rambling I have for today.
