Shoot For the Moon!

Tip # 49: Shoot for the Moon!

If you feel overwhelmed and don't think that you are capable of getting it "ALL" organized, think again!  Of course, you can!  You can do anything that you set your mind to accomplish.  Obviously you will also need determination and a plan.  An article that I just read today encouraged me, and I thought it might encourage you to keep plugging away at your organizing goals.

Implementing Shooting for the Moon (read the whole article here)

First, make the decision to shoot for the moon. (Steven Scott said that was made Babe Ruth the Home Run King was that every time he came up to bat he was swinging for the fence. Lesser batters just try to get on base, or merely try to hit the ball.)

Second, list the obstacles or roadblocks that may prevent you from hitting the moon on this specific dream or goal (or step or task).

Third, identify the types of partners or outside resources you will need to recruit to overcome the obstacles you have listed.

Fourth, identify the specific individuals or resources you’ll need and recruit them.

There are 53 days remaining in the year 2011. Are you making progress and do you plan on ending the year feeling accomplished? It is never too late!  Shoot for the moon!!!  :-)
