March 1, 2009
I feel like I need to put an exclamation point next to March 1st! I can't believe we are already in the 3rd month of the year. It is flying by. So often I get wrapped up in the daily grind and although I have people tell me that my children will be grown before I know it, and I just can't see it. Other times, I am floored. My oldest daughter, Jessica, will be 9 years old this week. HAPPY BIRTHDAY baby girl! I love you. Can't believe it, she was just snuggling in my arms yesterday, wasn't she?
Full disclosure here. I am struggling with discouragement right now. Not in my business, it is the one thing that is going really well. I never seemed to struggle with any aspect of business or work. I excel in that area, and it comes easy to me. I have been struggling mostly with motherhood. I desire to teach and instill faith in our Lord and to model good values for my family. I lack self discipline myself, and I find myself falling short of the mark over and over again! I am not consistent in disciplining the children and I can see how it is causing damage, and yet I still am inconsistent. Your prayers would be appreciated. I am convicted in this area, and will be working on improvement in this area. Other areas I feel convicted on are my role as a wife and as a homemaker. Still, the mommy role is my biggest need. One of the helps I have is the words to that song "The Voice of Truth" by Casting Crown.
Oh,what I would do to have the kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat I'm in onto the crashing waves. To step out of my comfort zone into the realm of the unknown where Jesus is, and he's holding out his hand. But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me. Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed. The waves they keep on telling me time and time again "Boy, you'll never win, you'll never win."
But the voice of truth tells me a different story. The voice of truth says "do not be afraid!" And the voice of truth says "this is for My glory". Out of all the voices calling out to me, I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth.
Oh, what I would do to have the kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant with just a sling and a stone. Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors shaking in their armor, wishing they'd have had the strength to stand. But the giant's calling out my name and he laughs at me. Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed. The giant keeps on telling me, time and time again, "Boy you'll never win, you'll never win."
But the voice of truth tells me a different story. The voice of truth says "do not be afraid!" And the voice of truth says "this is for My glory". Out of all the voices calling out to me, I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth.
But the stone was just the right size to put the giant on the ground. And the waves they don't seem so high from on top of them looking down. I will soar with the wings of eagles when I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus singing over me.
The voice of truth tells me a different story. The voice of truth says "do not be afraid". And the voice of truth says "this is for my glory" . Out of all the voices calling out to me (calling out to me), I will choose to listen and believe (I will choose to listen and believe). I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth.
I will listen and believe. I will listen and believe the voice of truth. I will listen and believe. 'Cause Jesus You are the voice of truth."
Anyway, having said that. This is a blog on my business website and most readers are probably more interested in knowing how my business is going. I had a great month. THANK YOU, Vicki, Maureen and Lis! I will have done about $1200 or more in sales (still need to close the last show, have a few orders coming in still). I am sure that I've made my Ready, Set, Organize (RSO) goals for this 60 day mark! Yippee!
Oh, that was another thing I wanted to share. I rec'd my box from the home office last week that contained the products that I earned for free for meeting the first 30 day RSO goals. I earned the FlipFlop File, Car Hooks, and the StuffBucket! That was so rewarding! Not only did I earn commission, but I earned some more products as well. I love that kind of acknowledgement of a good job!
On the Leadership side of things, I have 2 wonderful ladies on my team right now, and I have a 3rd that has expressed that she is on board as well. I am still waiting for her Consultant Agreement before she is officially a member of my team, but I'm 95% sure that she's on! In addition to these team members, I also have 7 (yes, SEVEN) other recruit leads that I have made contact with. My team will be growing, and growing. Just like my beautiful family.
Thanks for reading. Check back soon!
