Tip #10 Make your bed / Shine the Sink
Keeping your sheets and covers neat takes two measly minutes and makes the entire room look pulled together. The same concept can be applied to other rooms in your house. Many of my readers are sure to be familiar with FlyLady. She is known for telling you to Shine Your Sink, which leads to an improved outlook. http://flylady.net/pages/FLYingLessons_Shine.asp
Making your bed is the fastest way to render your boudoir peaceful and presentable. "Your bed dominates the room, so when it's tidy, everything looks better," says Peter Walsh, author of It's All Too Much (Free Press). If tucking in a top sheet and blanket in the early hours feels onerous, use a comforter with a washable duvet cover. Smooth the fluffy expanse for a Zen effect with zero effort.
I promise to have another tip up tomorrow (and the next day, and the day after that) so come back.
We have 91 days remaining in 2011 - how are you spending those days?
