Simple. But Not Easy

Today at church my pastor preached about how we can all be used by God.  He pointed out that the only thing is that . . . we have to be available.
The other point he touched on that really made me say "ah-hah" was that the christian life is simple.  Simple, but not easy.  To illustrate that point, consider that you are a student taking a challenging class.  What do you need to do to get an A in that class.  Homework and classroom assignments need to be done and you need to study in order to ensure that you know and understand the material.  Simple, right?  But, anyone that has struggled with any touch subject (think algebra, chemistry, or a foreign language) knows while it may sound simple enough, it certainly is not easy.
That is how it is for living the christian life.  It can be challenging at times, but it really is simple.  All we need to do is accept the gift that Jesus wants to give us of eternal life.  We need to have faith.  Simple, right?  But, as you probably know, it isn't always easy.
